Leading Associations' 2012 Public Courses:
To be announced

In addition to full management, Leading Associations offers training programs for boards of directors, as well as strategic planning facilitation and consulting services.

Board Member Bootcamp
We all know the value of professional development in enhancing our effectiveness in our paid career, and though board leadership is volunteer work, it is a job – and a job worth doing well.  So why wouldn't maximizing your performance as a board member lead to better effectiveness in this work endeavor as in any other?

With this in mind, Leading Associations created an intensive training program on being an effective board member, how to prevent or overcome the pitfalls that lead to dysfunction or legal challenges, and the best practices on how to create and lead a high-impact non-profit governing body.

Through this intensive “boot camp” training, which teaches board members how to be more effective volunteer leaders individually and as a team with fellow board members and staff, we can help you maximize your board's effectiveness. This program can be attended via our public seminar program or we can come to you and offer the training on-site at a board retreat, annual conference, as a seminar hosted by your association or during a strategic planning session.

Board Member Boot Camp is a 6-hour training program offered as a public seminar (see our homepage for upcoming dates) or we can bring the training to your board at a time and place convenient to your organization.
